Update from Highways England in relation to the Tredington Bridge deck refurbishment scheme.
Please see below an update the Parish Council has received from Highways England in relation to the Tredington Bridge deck refurbishment scheme.
Further to the correspondence sent in January, I am writing to update you on the M5 Tredington bridge deck refurbishment scheme.
In the original letter we originally detailed that the full closure of the overbridge would be in place until Sunday 24 February and that the overall scheme would be completed by Sunday 17 March 2019.
Due to unexpected defects found in some of the concrete, which require further repairs, these dates have changed as our programme has been extended.
The revised dates for completion of the scheme are now as follows:
Phase 1 – total closure of the overbridge – now scheduled for completion on Friday 3 May 2019
Phase 2 – temporary two-way traffic lights and end of the scheme – now scheduled for completion on Thursday 30 May 2019
The diversion route for the full closure of the overbridge will remain the same.
Please note that whilst we always aim to work to the programme, unforeseen circumstances may mean slight changes to it. We will always aim to notify you of any major changes within the programme, but please monitor www.trafficengland.com/ to keep up-to-date.
If you have any queries or comments about the works and would like further information, please contact the Highways England Customer Contact Centre on 0300 123 5000 or by email:firstname.lastname@example.org.
We apologise in advance for any inconvenience that these changes to the programme may cause you, and appreciate your continued patience and understanding whilst we make these vital improvements to our network.
